The pacing of your story affects everything from emotional resonance to reader enjoyment, but it's tricky to do correctly. This course will give you the skills to speed up or slow down your writing, as well as the knowledge of when to do each.
Included in this course:
live lessons
recorded replays
examples of quick and slow scenes, chapters, and books
guided exercises to practice pacing

These lessons are built on academc standards for students in grades 9-12, and include materials which provide a more in-depth study of the featured topics, skills, and materials.
Live lessons will meet 2-3 times a week via Zoom according to the class schedule. Each zoom meeting will include a lesson, time for discussion and questions, and an activity to be completed offline. If you can't make it to a live class, each meeting will be recorded and will be available to watch the next morning. When the term is over, you will lose access to the videos, but your learning materials (worksheets, downloads, etc.) are yours to keep.
